Tennis Team Finishes School Best 4th in State!

The Boys Tennis Team followed up its 2nd place finish this year in both the league and the region with a school history best 4th place finish in the State Finals! Great season guys!

Football Team ties most wins ever in season

The Varsity Football team recorded 9 wins this year tying the team for the most ever in a season. The team went 9-2 overall with both losses coming to #1 in the state, Lansing Catholic. The first round playoff win against OE was only the third in school playoff history, but its third in the last four years. Great season Raiders!

Chance Conley - State Champion

Chance Conley won the #1 Singles State Championship this fall making him the best tennis player in our division in the entire state!
Way to go Chance!

PHS earns Coaches vs. Cancer designation!

Portland High School has earned the very prestigious distinction of being a Coaches vs. Cancer school for earning over $12,000 for cancer research. While the biggest annual event has been the Susan J. Buche softball tournament, new events are springing up in other sports too helping in the effort. Not only has the designation been reached, but PHS is considered a “Champion” school – the highest distinction given.

Football team qualifies for playoffs!

For the 9th straight year, the football team will be playing in the MHSAA football playoffs. While losing its first game of the year last Saturday to No. 1 LCHS, the six wins the team has already amassed make them a playoff team already. The first playoff game will be Friday, October 28th. Good luck!

Boys Tennis Qualifies for State Finals - again!

The Boys Tennis Team is playing in the state finals this Friday in Jenison after earning a very respectable Runner Up in the regional hosted here last Friday. Good luck at states!
